I spent the morning wandering around the garden. It was a beautiful day here in Atlanta!
Historic Roswell is just north of Atlanta. Its historic square has many unique shops, art galleries and restaurants along its main street. This gazebo is within Plum Creek Village, just off the sqaure.
I've posted several daytime shots of the Bank of America Plaza in Midtown Atlanta. This is the first nighttime shot I've taken which has actually turned out. It's a bit dark, but I'm still fairly pleased with it.
This old Victorian playhouse has been placed in several metro Atlanta parks through the years. It currently sits in the backyard of the Swan House.
This view is one of the most popular for photographs of the Swan House. The house itself is one of the most photographed Atlanta homes.

The rear staircase of Atlanta's Swan House.
This home is one of Atlanta's most photographed homes. The Swan House was built in 1928 for the Edward H. Inman family. The home was designed by Atlanta architect Philip Trammell Shutze. After the death of Mrs. Inman, the home and its ground were purchased by the Atlanta Historical Society.
The gardens behind Atlanta's Swan House. The former grounds of the Swan House now encompass the Atlanta History Center.
While not in Atlanta proper, this KFC is one of the most well-known places in the Metro Atlanta area. This is the Big Chicken! The 56 foot chicken was designed by a Georgia Tech architecture student and built in 1956. It was nearly torn down after wind damage in the early 90s. However, public outcry resulted in it being rebuilt, including the moving beak (it opens and closes) and eyes (they go around in circles).
This is a shot of the main exhibit entrance at the Center for Puppetry Arts in Midtown Atlanta. Currently, the Center has a Jim Henson exhibit and their also building a Jim Henson wing. In addition to the exhibits, the Center puts on productions using all sorts of puppets.

This is the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center. The house was the home for the Candler family, specifically the son of Asa Candler. Asa Candler was the founder of the Coca-Cola Company. The estate was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted who also designed Central Park in New York City. The home was designed by Designed by Henry Hornbostel. The center holds classes, performances and exhibitions throughout the year.
The gallery area of the Michael C. Carlos Museum is filled with these fun, round windows.
I recently explored Emory University's Michael C. Carlos Museum. The museum has large collections Classical, Ancient Egyptian, Near Eastern, Ancient American, African, and Asian art. They also have a large collection of works on paper.
This piece is a portion of a carved Roman relief. I loved the little carved flower.
This peacock is one of several sculptures outside the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Temple. Just like every other piece carved at the temple, the detail is amazing.
The Atlanta skyline peeking through some trees. This photo was taken at the Atlanta Botanical Garden.
I really liked the reflections of the clouds on this building. This is the Bank of Atlanta in Midtown. At the right time of day, with the sun setting across town, it's especially pretty.
It's rare for Atlanta to see snow. So, when it does you can bet on two things: 1) we're outside enjoying it and 2) staple food items will not be found in any grocery stores. :) I took this photo while driving, as seen by the blue tint on my windshield. Still, it's a decent enough picture of the Capitol dome in the snow.
