Ostrakon

SS18_Osiris[2009]

This is an ostrakon made of white limestone. These were used by artists for sketches and layouts for decorations within Egyptian tombs. This is a depiction of Osiris, believed to be a draft of a representation that decorated the tomb of Ramesses IV. (So sayeth the information plaque.)
